South Huron is asking residents to voluntarily reduce their water use on August 11th and 12th.
The Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System will temporarily shut down water service to make watermain repairs. The work is expected to begin at midnight on August 11th and be finished later that day.
South Huron says there is enough water storage to maintain regular service, but residents are being asked to conserve water while the system returns to normal.
Residents are asked to postpone filling pools, watering lawns and washing vehicles until after noon on August 12th.
The municipality says conserving water will help keep reserves available in case of an unexpected emergency or a longer-than-expected repair.
