Huron Hospice is getting ready for its sixth annual No Place Like Home Dinner and Auction.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 26th, at Libro Hall in Clinton and will raise money to support care at Huron Hospice.
The event started as a one-night telethon and has grown into a popular farm-to-fork dinner celebrating Huron County and the local food and drink produced here.
The evening will include an auction, the popular wine raffle, and a pie auction. Organizers say each pie has its own story connected to Huron Hospice.
Tickets are $150 per person, or $1,200 for a table of eight.
Money raised through the event helps provide care for local families facing the end of life. Last year, Huron Hospice nurses and volunteers cared for more than 50 people at Bender House. Home hospice and respite volunteers also made 567 visits to families in their homes, while 89 people took part in grief support groups.
Organizers say the evening is about more than fundraising. It is also a chance to share memories, stories, food, and conversations while celebrating the people and communities that make Huron County home.
