Drivers heading through Zurich this weekend should plan for some road closures as the community celebrates Bean Fest.
The Municipality of Bluewater says several roads will be closed to make room for festival activities and help keep the area safe.
Main Street, or Highway 84, will be closed from Goshen Street North to John Street, along with Goshen Street North from Main Street to Mary Street. These closures will be in place on Saturday, August 22nd, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Mill Avenue between Goshen Street North and John Street will be closed from noon on Friday, August 21, until noon on Sunday, August 23rd. Victoria Lane will also be closed from Main Street to Rosalie Street during that time.
Rosalie Street from Goshen Street North to Frederick Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. Friday until noon Sunday.
Frederick Avenue between Mary Street and Goshen Street South will be closed Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Drivers are asked to follow posted detour signs, obey traffic directions and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
