Construction continues along Main Street in Exeter, with work moving ahead on the east side of the road between Victoria Street and Wellington Street.
Last week, crews worked on removing materials, installing a new watermain and adding underground services.
This week, the contractor will continue working on the east side of Main Street. Crews will finish the underground work in each block and prepare the road for the next stage of construction.
One lane of traffic in both directions will remain open on Main Street while this work is being completed.
The municipality says local businesses remain open during construction, and access to homes and businesses will be maintained as much as possible.
Drivers should expect delays because of the reduced lanes and are asked to plan extra travel time.
The municipality is thanking residents and businesses for their patience and understanding as the work continues.
