For the third time in three days, Lambton County OPP have recovered a body from the water after another swimmer went missing.

The latest incident happened Saturday, August 29th, at Pinery Provincial Park, where a 36-year-old Scarborough man was reported missing after he was last seen in the water near the park beach.

Just before 3 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP received a report about the missing swimmer.

The Lambton OPP Marine Unit and Underwater Search and Recovery Unit joined the search. The swimmer’s body was recovered from the water at about 8:20 p.m.

Police identified the deceased as a 36-year-old man from Scarborough.

Lambton OPP thanked OPP Aviation, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), Sarnia Fire and the park wardens at Pinery Provincial Park for their quick response and continued efforts during the search.

The latest death comes after two other water-related incidents in Lambton County in the past three days, making this the third body recovered from the water during that period.
