Work continues on Main Street in Exeter as the Municipality of South Huron’s construction project moves ahead.
Last week, crews worked on the east side of Main Street between Victoria and Wellington Streets. The work included removals, watermain installation and new service connections.
This week, crews are expected to finish the base gravel work in that area before moving to the next block between Wellington and Hill Streets.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Main Street while work continues on the east side of the road.
Businesses will remain open during construction, and access to homes and businesses will be maintained as much as possible.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead while construction continues.
