A new shopping event is coming to Grand Bend this fall, giving people a chance to support local businesses and win prizes.
The Grand Bend Chamber of Commerce is launching its first Fall Into Grand Bend Passport Shopping Event on September 25th. The event will run for five weeks, ending October 31st.
Grand Bend Chamber General Manager Nicola Harney says 21 local businesses are taking part.
People can pick up a passport at participating businesses or at the Chamber office. Harney explains how the event will run.
Shoppers can then scan a QR code and enter for a chance to win weekly prizes.
The event will officially kick off September 25th at Sunset Art Gallery.
The five-week event will wrap up with a Halloween-themed celebration on October 31st.
The Main Street sidewalk sale will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will also be Halloween activities for kids, including costumes and candy, along with a contest for the best-decorated storefront.
Harney says the goal is to bring people together while giving local businesses a boost during the fall.
