Construction is continuing along Main Street in Exeter as part of the ongoing roadwork project.
Last week, crews worked on the east side of Main Street between Wellington Street and Hill Street. The work included removing parts of the road, installing a new watermain and adding services.
This week, the contractor will move to the section between Hill Street and MacNaughton Drive. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Main Street while work continues on the east side of the road.
The Municipality of South Huron says businesses remain open and access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout construction. Drivers should expect delays and plan ahead while traffic lanes are reduced.
The Municipality is thanking residents and businesses for their patience and understanding.
