A new fishing line recycling bin has been installed at the Bayfield Pier.
The Municipality of Bluewater says the bin will help keep used fishing line out of the water and protect local wildlife and the environment.
Anglers are encouraged to use the recycling bin when visiting the pier instead of throwing used fishing line in the garbage or leaving it behind.
The Municipality is also thanking the Bayfield Trails Association for taking care of the bin, including collecting and tracking the recycled fishing line.
The program is aimed at helping keep Bayfield’s waterfront clean and safe for future generations.
