The South Huron Hospital Auxiliary is getting ready for its annual fall rummage sale.
Auxiliary member Barb Downs says this year’s event will be a smaller sale, but shoppers can still expect plenty of items to choose from.
Downs says the Auxiliary is looking for gently used items that can be sold to help raise money for the hospital.
The sale will include books, CDs, DVDs, toys, puzzles, games, sports equipment, holiday decorations, home decor, shoes and boots, purses, luggage, jewelry, housewares and small kitchen appliances.
Clothing will be limited to fall and winter coats, hats, scarves and mittens.
Downs says the money raised through the Auxiliary’s fundraisers goes to a very important cause.
The Auxiliary also runs the hospital gift shop, where some items from its sales are resold. Downs says the shop also features handmade crafts and new items throughout the year.
The rummage sale is cash only, and shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags.
Downs says the Auxiliary is always looking for new volunteers to help with its many fundraising activities.

The sale will take place at the South Huron Recreation Centre hall on Friday, October 2nd from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
People can drop off donations on Thursday, October 1st from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
