Residents in Exeter can help support local families facing food insecurity through a province-wide food drive.
Operation FULL PLATE is taking place tomorrow, Saturday, October 3rd, bringing OPP Auxiliary members and community members together to collect food and other essential items for local food banks.
The one-day event is part of an effort to help food banks keep their shelves stocked and support people and families who need a helping hand.
The OPP Auxiliary has been serving communities for more than 65 years. Operation FULL PLATE continues that tradition by bringing people together to support local food banks across Ontario.
In Exeter, donations can be dropped off at Hansen’s Independent Grocer at 62 Thames Road East on October 3rd.
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and other essential goods. Organizers say every donation, no matter the size, can help make a difference in the local community.
