Halloween fun is coming to Port Franks, with a free community event planned for families of all ages.
The Ausable Port Franks Optimist Club is hosting Pumpkins After Dark, giving residents a chance to enjoy some Halloween fun without the scares.
The event will feature a pumpkin display carved by local elementary school students, along with treats, free hotdogs, ghostly macaroni and drinks.
People are encouraged to come dressed in costume, although costumes are not required. Organizers say the event is designed to be fun for all ages and is not scary.
Community members who would like to hand out candy during the event are also invited to contact the Ausable Port Franks Optimist Club.
The event is free to attend, with donations gratefully accepted.
Pumpkins After Dark will be held at 9997 Port Franks Road. The Optimist Club says it’s a chance for the community to come together, enjoy some Halloween activities and celebrate the season with local families.
