Voting in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is set to open next week in South Huron.
The Municipality says voting will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13th, and residents can cast their ballot by phone or online using a laptop, smartphone or tablet.
Voters will need their unique PIN, which can be found in their Voter Information Letter.
Voter Information Letters have been mailed to residents using addresses provided by Elections Ontario. Residents who have not received their letter by October 15 are asked to contact the Municipal Office for help.
A voter kiosk with internet access will also be available at South Huron Town Hall at 322 Main Street South in Exeter for anyone who does not have access to a phone or internet-connected device.
Residents can also get help at voter helpdesk pop-up locations throughout the community.
The municipality is also reminding residents that if they receive a Voter Information Letter addressed to someone who no longer lives at their property, they should return it to Town Hall or write “return to sender” on the envelope and put it back in the mail.
The voting period runs from 9 a.m. on October 13th until 8 p.m. on Monday, October 26th.
