The Lambton Fall Colour & Craft Festival is returning this month, bringing local makers, family activities and history together for a weekend at the Lambton Heritage Museum.
The annual festival will take place Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
More than 70 vendors will be on site, offering handmade items including art and home décor, candles and bath products, clothing, food and drinks, jewelry, pottery, textiles and woodworking.
Families can also take part in seasonal activities, including historical demonstrations and an autumn leaves-inspired craft led by the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery. The weekend is also the final chance to see the museum’s feature exhibition, Bluewaterland: Dive into the Depths. The exhibit explores the nautical history of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River.
The festival is the museum’s largest fundraiser, with proceeds this year supporting the next phase of the Canatara Cabin Restoration Project.
The first phase of the restoration was completed earlier this year, and visitors will be able to explore the first floor of the cabin during the festival. There will also be a silent auction featuring a framed print donated by local artist Jeffrey George of Red Dog Art Studio.
Admission is $5 cash per person, while children 12 and under can attend for free when accompanied by an adult.
More information, including a full list of vendors, is available through Lambton County Museums.
