The Lambton Fall Colour and Craft Festival is returning to Lambton Heritage Museum this weekend, bringing together local vendors, family activities and a chance to enjoy the fall colours.
Jessica Stevenson, marketing and events coordinator at Lambton Heritage Museum, told myFM about the event.
Stevenson says the festival has been a community tradition for more than 45 years.
The museum has hosted a craft festival on the weekend after Thanksgiving since 1980, although the event’s name has changed over the years.
Stevenson says the festival brings people together while helping raise money to support the museum.
Visitors can also take part in historical demonstrations and enjoy a children’s craft with an autumn leaf theme in the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery.
The weekend is also the last chance to see the museum’s feature exhibit, Bluewaterland, which explores the history of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River and their impact on Lambton County.
Stevenson says she is looking forward to seeing people enjoy the museum grounds.
The festival runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is $5 per person, cash only, and children 12 and under get in free.
