Work on the Ontario Street Bridge in Grand Bend is moving forward, with more construction planned over the next few weeks.
The Municipality of Lambton Shores says crews have completed concrete work, retaining walls, waterproofing on the east half of the bridge deck and site restoration.
Next, crews will focus on paving, sidewalks and waterproofing the west half of the bridge.
Drivers should be aware of traffic disruptions on October 15th (TODAY), 16th and 19th, when Main Street East and Main Street West will be closed daily near the Ontario Street intersection for paving work.
During the closures, drivers can reach downtown Grand Bend using Oak Street. Access to Main Street East will be available through a posted detour route, while traffic on Highway 21 will continue to move.
The municipality thanks residents and visitors for their patience as work continues on the bridge project.
