Pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and designs will light up the Seaforth Agriplex as the Great Pumpkin Trail returns for another year of Halloween fun.
Kendra Jewitt, a volunteer with the Seaforth Agricultural Society and one of the event’s organizers, explains the event.
Visitors can return between 6 and 8 p.m. to walk through the display and vote for their favourite pumpkins. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in both the adult and children’s categories.
Jewitt says the event has become a popular way for families to enjoy the fall season together without spending a lot of money.
Visitors can also enjoy hot apple cider while taking in the displays.
From creative carvings to painted designs and extra decorations, Jewett says there is always something interesting to see.
The event will go ahead rain or shine, with organizers hoping for another beautiful fall evening.
People who want to enter a pumpkin do not need to register ahead of time. They can simply bring their creation to the Agriplex during the designated drop-off period.
