Adam Veri will be Norfolk County’s next mayor.
Veri, who has represented Ward 6 since 2022, will succeed Amy Martin, who did not seek re-election.
Veri expressed gratitude for his big win.
Veri says his immediate priority is wrapping up outstanding issues for Ward 6, which he continues to represent until the new council takes office.
Veri says his campaign reaffirmed something important about talking with people across Norfolk County.
Veri says residents may not always agree with the decisions being made, but they appreciate being heard and getting a straight answer from officials.
He added voters don’t want the big promises, or to be pandered to.
They want to hear what’s happening in Norfolk County and why.
