The holiday season is getting closer, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron is inviting the community to get a head start on Christmas shopping while supporting local vendors.
Executive Director Amy Wilhelm says the event has been running for more than 15 years and offers a chance to shop for gifts, handmade items and Christmas decorations.
The annual Christmas shopping event takes place Saturday, November 7th, and Sunday, November 8th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
Many local vendors are expected to take part, including local crafters looking to share their work with the community.
Santa will be there both days from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving children a chance to share their Christmas wish lists.
Admission is $3 per person, while children 12 and under can attend for free.
Wilhelm says the event is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and support local businesses at the same time.
Organizers are also looking for donations of baked goods for the bake sale. Anyone interested in contributing is encouraged to get in touch with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron.
