Fifty feet into the grass at Butterfly Park in Grand Bend is a long way
off the road.
That’s where OPP found a stopped pick-up truck early at night after
a complaint about a suspected impaired driver.
Police say the first officer to arrive saw a man get out of the truck. He
walked over to the officer who says he immediately smelled alcohol on
the person’s breath, plus the man showed visible signs of impairment.
The man was arrested and taken to the Huron County OPP detachment where
he gave two breath samples. Police say both showed his blood alcohol level was
above the legal limit to drive.
33 year old Carson GLOVER of Grand Bend has been ordered to appear
in court next month in Goderich, to face charges including operation of a
motor-vehicle while impaired.
