Huron County Municipalities and Business Improvement Associations have received a $70,000 Digital Main Street grant to help Main Street businesses improve their digital marketing and online presence.
This is through a joint program which involves the Ontario BIA.
Huron County Economic Development Business Coach Jeff Kish says this is a wonderful opportunity for county businesses to upgrade their online presence, something the province’s BIA recognized as a need.
Once the training is complete, Kish said BIA’s are eligible for a $10,000 grant to hire a person to help assist and implement digital upgrades to the respective main street locations.
The retailer themselves are also eligible for a $2,500 grant to execute their digital strategy upon completion of the training.
