Having guests over at your house or out at the beach is one of the great ways to spend the summer, but sometimes uninvited guests like deer ticks show up and put a damper on your entire day.
Public Health Manager Jean Albert from the health unit wants to remind all residents of Huron of a few ways they can prevent being exposed to ticks and lyme disease.
Albear says that if you remove a tick gently with tweezers, you should contain the tick and take it to the health unit locations in Clinton or Wingham for testing to see if it is in fact infected with lyme disease.
