Police are asking the public to help in identifying those responsible for ongoing mischiefs and theft to the Goderich to Auburn Rail Trail.
The trail which is heavily used by walkers, cyclist, hikers, and skiers, has seen a rash of mischiefs over the last year.
Vandals have caused extensive damage to various entrance points, large cinder blocks have been moved or removed, four large green gates have been stolen.
Police believe the barriers have been removed to gain access to the trails by motorized vehicles, but due to safety and environmental reasons that is prohibited.
The damage amount is now into the thousands of dollars. Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
