Huron County OPP have found a stolen vehicle, and now two Stratford residents are facing charges. On July 24th police went to a property on Line 34 east of St. Columban to look for a wanted person.
When officers arrived they noticed a man and a woman with a Chevrolet Blazer that was parked on the property. The man took off from police, and the investigation has revealed that the Chevrolet Blazer had been reported stolen from London.
The woman was taken into custody and while speaking with the property owner it was learned the man didn’t have permission to be on the property. Officer located the man hiding in an attic, and he was arrested without incident.
31-year-old Jean-Philippe Gnemmi is facing charges for possession of property obtained by crime, unlawfully in a dwelling and failure to comply. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Korrine Maccormick is facing charges for property obtained by crime.
Both have August court dates in Goderich.
