Finance Minister Bill Morneau spoke with business leaders on Monday about the importance in investing in Canada’s future.
He stopped by the Oakville Chamber of Commerce to discuss a number of topics including job creation for Canadians of all ages, the Canada Child Benefit, and the federal government’s commitment to investing in small and medium sized businesses.
He encourages Canadians of all ages to be optimistic that the recent trend in job creation will continue. He also addresses how the federal government is responding to anxiety surrounding student job creation.
Morneau acknowledges that this will be a continuous challenge that they will continue to think about.
However he believes that their commitment to investing in small to medium sized businesses will be successful in creating jobs that will help Canadians of all ages get and keep good jobs.
