Leaving several empty beer cans proved to be a dead giveaway for a Huron East driver.
A Huron County OPP officer was on patrol in Clinton early Sunday morning (21st) just before 2 (1:49 AM) when they spotted a pick up truck pulling out of a parking space and heading towards the entrance of the Community Centre.
The officer noticed a number of beer cans left in the space where the pick up had parked. Once police stopped the vehicle, the officer spoke to the driver who showed signs that he had been consuming alcohol.
A roadside test was administered in which the driver failed. He was then arrested and taken to the detachment where he failed two more tests.
The 28-year-old is facing charges and was released with a September 9th court date in Goderich.
