Lambton County is getting a boost for their broadband internet efforts.
Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton was in Wyoming Friday (aug 9) with SWIFT to announce an up to $11.3 million Request for Proposal in broadband infrastructure.
He says this announcement is another step in the right direction.
The county will be one of the first rural areas in Ontario to receive strong broadband internet. The next step in the process is to review the proposals ISPs will submit from now until October. After that, McNaughton said it’s their duty to hooking up the farms and small businesses as quickly as possible.
