Between August 18th and 24th as Perth OPP conducted their Operation Safe Trucking program. Officers focused on the big four which are speeding, seatbelts, distracted driving, and impaired driving.
4 inspections were conducted, one commercial motor vehicle was taken out of service and 11 charges were laid, but thankfully no CMV related fatalities took place during the campaign.
Police would like to thank all drivers who operate their vehicles in a safe manner.
