It’s campaign time for the United Way of Perth Huron. The local organization will be holding 4 kickoff events this week with the first taking place today in Listowel.
United Way of Perth Huron Campaign Co-Chair Martin Ritsma wouldn’t spill the beans on the fundraising goal but did say the community stepped up last year in a big way by donating over $11 thousand dollars more than the campaign goal.
He says that the campaign is extremely important as funds stay local.
Ritsmas says that donations will go to 48 agencies locally which last year supported over 32 thousand people living with unignorable issues that affect Huron and Perth Counties.
Stratford will host a kickoff event on September 13th, while the Goderich version takes place the 14th. St. Marys will host the final kickoff on Saturday, September 15th.
