Plans are underway that will see the boardwalk along the waterfront in Goderich get a makeover. Council were given a presentation by Bruce Potter of BM Ross at their meeting last Monday (9th) on the different designs and costs associated with it.
Potter pointed out that while having pressure-treated wood is aesthetically pleasing, it is more expensive than a paved boardwalk. Mayor John Grace says he would like keep the traditional look of the waterfront.
Grace says the boardwalk is a unique place in Goderich and they to do what they can to keep it. Tenders for the project are expected to be unveil at the October 7th Council meeting.
