Lambton County OPP are investigating a small plane that went down in the water near Port Franks. Emergency crews responded to call Saturday afternoon (21st) around 2.
Nearby vessels saw an ultralight pontoon aircraft in the water and helped the pilot and passenger to shore. Investigators say the plane tried to make a landing in the water but ended up flipping over and on to its roof. There were no injuries.
OPP say they are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward. They say they will provide further updates when they become available.
