The first ever Huron Harp Fest is taking place the October 4th weekend in Goderich. Put on by the Huron Harp School, the inaugural event is already very promising, according to organizer Kimberly Payne.
The ability to perform has past but it doesn’t mean you can’t listen.
Payne says the Celtic Harp, which is being played at the shows open to the public at the Livery is not what you’d associate harp-music with Payne added. She says it’s very percussive and exciting.
The concerts go Friday and Saturday evening and will be performed by those who’ve traveled as far as Scotland to be part of the Harp Fest.
