Buckle up…it’s a message we have heard our whole lives, but according to the OPP, some people are still not listening to it. Over the past 5 years, 233 motor vehicle deaths were linked to a lack of seatbelt use.
103 of those deaths saw people ejected from their vehicles.This year alone, 42 people have died due to a lack of seat belts on OPP roads.
Police are gearing up for their Fall Seat Belt campaign, and Huron County OPP say they will be highly visible as they educate and enforce the laws that are aimed at keeping people safe.
