Public Health Inspector Jessica Van Geffen says efforts should be made to reduce foodborne illnesses like salmonella. She says salmonella infections is often traced back to exposure to raw turkey and raw chicken products.
Also, thawing frozen turkey in the refrigerator is the slowest method but it is also the safest.
