For the second time today, a fatal collision has rocked the area.
Middlesex County OPP are investigating a three-vehicle collision which claimed the life of a driver and sent another to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they were called out to the collision on Elginfield Road, west of Saintsbury Road at around 1 p.m.
According to police, an eastbound minivan had been turning left into a private drive, before it was rear-ended by a sedan which sent it into the westbound lanes. It was then an oncoming westbound commercial truck collided with the minivan.
EMS arrived on scene with Lucan-Biddulph fire department. The driver of the minivan was airlifted to the hospital but later died to their injuries.
The driver of the commercial truck was uninjured while the sedan driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The stretch of road remains closed as police investigate the scene.
Earlier today, police closed off a portion of Highway 4 following a two-vehicle collision which claimed the life of one driver.
