Police are letting everyone know about Online Reporting which is a secure, simple tool to report minor crimes.
In 2018 the OPP received over 2 million 9-1-1, non-emergency and administrative calls, which resulted in offers being dispatched to over a million occurrences.
A press release from the OPP says using the Online Reporting tool allows frontline officers to focus efforts on urgent calls and crime prevention strategies within communities.
Crimes that can be reported include: Theft Under $5000; Mischief / Damage to Property Under $5000; Mischief / Damage to Vehicle Under $5000; Theft from Vehicle; Lost / Missing Property Under $5000; Stolen License Plates; and driving Complaints (after the occurrence).
