Two men were busted over the weekend (November 23rd) after allegedly stealing gas from a business. Police were called to the fuel theft and arrested one man who fled on foot.
Officers found a stolen and altered cheque in his possession. A short while later a second man was arrested when police found their vehicle.
A 26-year-old man and a 31-year-old man both from St. Marys are facing charges of property obtained by crime. The 26-year-old is also facing a charge for fraud under $5000.
The duo will have a court date in December.
