Edible cannabis could become available as quickly as the new year, which is why the local public health unit is issuing some warnings.
Medical officer of health, Dr. Shanker Nesathurai says to be prepared for a different high if you consume cannabis over to that of combustible weed.
He also warns to keep edibles away from children and pets.
Those with existing health conditions should consult their physicians before ingesting cannabis.
