Instead of stealing your presents Christmas eve, they break in after you have put your garbage to the side of the road displaying what you got for Christmas and showing them if your house is worth the hassle or not.
That was Constable Ed Sanchuk giving some tips. He also advises you not to post your gifts on social media as well.
An of course, if you aren’t going to be home, lock the doors. If you aren’t going to be home for an extended period of time, have neighbours or family members check in on the home to be safe.
