A new four year Strategic Plan for the Avon Maitland District School Board continues to be developed as the current one is set to expire this year.
It’s been an extensive process with consultations dating back to last spring says the board’s Director of Education Dr. Lisa Walsh.
They spoke with municipalities, parents, staff and students and more stakeholders to hear their thoughts on what and where the AMDSB could improve in their schools and where it thrives.
With all of that in mind, Walsh explains there are a few initiatives the board has plans for in the next four years.
She says the first draft will be presented to their stakeholders in the coming months with approval of the final draft expected to occur during the May board meeting, in time for September 2020 implementation.
