Police say a Huron East man has been charged after officers caught him driving dangerously on a snowmobile.
At around 9:30 am on January 20th, police say that an officer noticed a possible stolen snowmobile at the intersection of Tile Road and Hensall Road.
As the officer attempted to stop the snowmobile, the driver and passenger took off southbound on Hensall Road.
Police eventually caught up to the snowmobile, following it’s tracks to a residence on Centennial Road where the snowmobile once again fled, to a nearby bush lot.
Officers were able to follow the tracks again, locating the driver hiding from police.
The man was arrested and taken into custody without incident while the other suspect managed to escape on the snowmobile.
A 31-year-old man is facing charges of dangerous operation, flight from a peace officer and failure to comply with his Probation Order.
