A Women’s Cannabis Club sparked up last summer by Owner of Reveal Cannabis Andrea Meharg and they’re trying to spread the word.
The goal of the club Meharg told myFM was to educate women about cannabis and creating a community around it, with the goal to break the stigma around it.
They have 15 or 20 women who attend their monthly workshops but about 200 or so follow along through emails and Facebook.
These meetings follow a similar outline.
Meharg says cannabis brought her out of a deep depression and probably saved her life.
They ask for a $5 donation to cover the cost of the workshop each month but Meharg says it’s pay what you can so if you don’t have the $5 it’s no big deal.
She said you can go to as many or as few meetings as you’d like, there’s no total commitment required to be at each workshop.
