The Mt. Brydges Bulldogs are gearing up for a tough battle, as they’re squaring off in what’s sure to be a fast-paced, no inches given second round playoff series against the neighbouring Exeter Hawks.
The teams were even closer in the standings than they are geographically, finishing one point apart.
And that tightness alone is why Mt. Brydges GM Jon Swatuk says this will be can’t-miss hockey.
Swatuk predicts special teams might be a difference maker. The Hawks have showed their strength both with a man up and a man down this year while the Bulldogs have had some troubles.
Mt. Brydges got past Aylmer in five games in the opening round while Exeter swept the Lucan Irish.
Game 1 goes Friday night in Exeter at 8 p.m. before the series heads to the Tri-Township arena Saturday at 7:30.
