March is Nutrition Month and the Middlesex London Health Unit are providing some advice on how to live a healthier lifestyle.
Registered Dietician Kim Loupos says the perfect rule of thumb to follow is a simple one: follow Canada’s Food Guide.
What Loupos means is that a better ambience around your meals provides benefits. She says healthy food prep, taking the time to enjoy each bite and to cook your food.
Turning of the TV and putting your phone down while you eat also helps, as does sharing meals with family and friends and remaining in tune with what your body is telling you.
She says Canada’s Food Guide also provides excellent tips and substitutes to eat healthy on smaller budgets, so everyone is capable of eating smart.
