The second round of the GOJHL playoffs are getting underway starting tonight.
Stratford, defeated the Listowel Cyclones in the first round, will take on Elmira, who swept Brantford in 4 straight games.
In the regular season, Elmira won 5 out of the 7 meetings between these two teams.
After beating Strathroy in 5 games, the St. Mary’s Lincolns are set to take on Leamington, who swept Komoka in the first round.
St. Mary’s and Leamington finished the season series tied at 3 wins, 3 losses and one tie, with Leamington scoring only 3 more total goals than St. Mary’s.
And the London Nationals prepare to face the Lasalle Vipers.
The Nationals swept Sarnia in the first round, while Lasalle took Chatham to 7 games.
The Nationals and the Vipers met 6 times over the regular season, London winning all six games and outscoring Lasalle 37-13.
Both the Stratford and London begin the second round tonight, while St. Mary’s starts on Thursday.
