“All options are on the table,” according to Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP and Minister of Labour, Skills, and Trade Development Monte McNaughton.
McNaughton is coming off the heels of announcing alongside Premier Doug Ford proposed legislation that would protect employees from losing their jobs as a direct result of the novel coronavirus.
The legislation also includes getting rid of the requirement to obtain a doctor’s note for your employer.
It does not include anything about paid sick leave, which would likely be required en masse so families could afford to pay their bills on time if they are not put on hold.
