Volunteers from Huron Area Search and Rescue will be out in about assisting ONECARE during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deputy Commander Patrick Armstrong says they’ll be helping make deliveries to those held up in their homes during self-isolation or any other reason, as the virus spreads.
Practicing social distancing while using personal protection equipment is the way to ensure the volunteers aren’t near the residents they’re helping. Armstrong says they’ll receive the groceries from ONECARE, drop them off outside the home, and walk away.
