Premier Doug Ford made a couple of HUGE announcements on Monday.
As of 11:59 tomorrow (March 24) all non-essential businesses will be closed for at least 14 days.
Ford says the government will extend the order if necessary.
A full list of businesses will be announced tomorrow.
The Premier did say that the order will ensure that food is on the shelves and that medications and essentials will still be able to be purchased.
Ford also announced during the media questions that kids won’t be going back to school on April 6th, as the Province is in a State of Emergency and keeping children safe is the priority.
Ford urged people to stay home and only leave if necessary.
Ford also announced that snowbirds MUST self isolate.
In terms of any compensation for businesses Ford said they will have more details on Wednesday.
