A new action plan has been approved for the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority.
The new plan was posted to Canada’s species at risk public registry on March 3rd, 2020, following a public consultation.
The plan has some major highlights, including erosion control and protection and enhancement of natural areas.
Kari Jean, an ABCA Aquatic Biologist, said that the staff is “already doing great things in our communities, and that this will sustain the momentum of positive action in the watershed”.
Staff members of ABCA will be working closely with communities and landowners in order to put the new plan into action.
ABCA staff are also postponing all site visits due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but are still available via phone or email.
