Farm tax ratios in Huron County will not see a decrease.
Although councillors from various parts of Ontario have agreed to lower farm tax ratios, councillors in Huron County voted against the idea.
The ratio would have lowered from 25% to 21.7%.
Michael Blumhagen, a treasurer for Huron County, said that lowering the ratio would mean that almost $1 million in taxes would have to be shifted on to other residents of Huron County.
